Overview
The Baer Brakes Claw rear rotor and pad combo kit, part 73023-2174, pairs slotted, drilled and zinc-plated rotors with ceramic performance street pads. Manufacturer fitment covers the 2019-2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500, plus the 2021-2024 Cadillac Escalade, Cadillac Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon and GMC Yukon XL.

Break-in and street pad care
Ceramic street pads are designed for quiet, low-dust operation in everyday driving. They produce less dust than many organic pads but need proper bedding to transfer an even layer onto the rotor. Ceramic compounds generally work best within a moderate temperature range, so avoid repeated hard stops from high speed without a cooling period.
Keep the wear indicator in view when inspecting the pads at routine service. Replace pads when the indicator contacts the rotor or the friction material reaches its minimum thickness. Replacing pads with the rotors in the same kit keeps the friction surfaces matched, and new abutment clips should be installed at each pad change to limit noise and rattling.

Installation notes
