Ram 1500 alignment and shock fit
A lifted Ram 1500 changes suspension geometry at both ends, so alignment becomes part of the install rather than an afterthought. Caster and toe settings affect straight-line stability and tire life, and they are easier to set once the truck is at its final height. Check the steering components and tie rod ends for wear before the kit goes on.
Shock absorbers are worth reviewing alongside the lift, since the new ride height changes how they work. Brake hoses, the front driveshaft and the steering shaft should be checked after installation for stretch, angle and clearance. Bump stops and tire rub are common issues on lifted pickups, so inspect them after the first highway drive.
