Overview
The Jeep Tweaks JT10-B is a black powder-coated aluminum third brake light guard for 2007–2017 Jeep Wrangler models, including 2-door and 4-door versions. The guard covers the high-mount stop lamp at the rear of the Jeep and gives it a diamond-plate look.
The guard is made in the U.S.A. from CNC-machined 5052 aluminum plate. It is designed to let plenty of light through the lamp, in line with DOT regulations. Aluminum is naturally resistant to rust, and the guard attaches with 3M double-sided tape rather than fasteners.

Keeping the guard secure
A third brake light guard sits over the high-mount stop lamp, so the way it is mounted matters as much as the guard itself. Clean the lamp area and the back of the guard with rubbing alcohol before applying tape, since dust and wax prevent the adhesive from bonding well. Press the guard firmly for a short time after mounting to set the bond.
Double-sided tape holds well on smooth paint but can loosen with heat, road vibration or repeated washing. Check the edges periodically, and reapply tape if a corner lifts. Keep the guard clear of the stop lamp lens so the lamp’s output is not blocked by the mounting position.
Aluminum guards are a common choice for Wranglers because they resist rust and hold a finish well, but powder coat can chip from road debris. Touch up small chips with matching paint to protect the metal. Inspect the guard after rough trail use and check that the tape still grips evenly.
