Overview
The BOLT Lock J-Mount Hi-Lift jack mount, part number SSC7028648, holds a Hi-Lift jack on a Jeep and secures it with your own Jeep key. It fits the 1997–2006 Jeep Wrangler (TJ), 2004–2006 Jeep Wrangler (LJ), 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler (JK) and 2018 Jeep Wrangler (JL) in the trims shown below.
BOLT Lock makes the mount from automotive grade, weather-proof, solid steel. Two knobs hold the Hi-Lift jack in place, and the jack is easy to remove and mount again. The mount also has an extra security feature and a limited lifetime warranty.

Jack mount use on trail
A Hi-Lift jack mounted on the outside of a Jeep sees constant vibration, dust and water, so its mount takes a lot of punishment. Check the knobs and mounting points before each outing, and look for cracks or bends in the steel. A mount that loosens partway through a trail can let the jack shift, which can damage the body or the jack itself.
The lock is only one part of the setup. Make sure the jack is seated fully in the mount before driving, and confirm the knobs are tight after any hard landing or steep climb. Keep the Jeep key on your ring so the lock is never left without it. Clean and lubricate the knob threads occasionally so they release smoothly when you need the jack quickly.

Installation notes
Because the mount bolts into existing holes, no drilling is needed. Tighten both knobs firmly on the jack before driving, and check that the jack is still secure after rough trail use.
