Description

Overview

The Bestop 51248-01 is a black passenger side, front right seat slider with adapter for Trailmax and Trailmax II seats. It is the passenger side match to the 51245-01 driver side bracket, and it moves the seat belt attachment while attaching the seat to the vehicle riser.

It fits 2004-2006 Jeep Wrangler (LJ) Unlimited and Unlimited Rubicon, and 2003-2006 Jeep Wrangler (TJ) in the 65th Anniversary Edition, Rubicon, SE, Sahara, Sport and X trims. Both brackets are needed on 2003-2006 Wrangler seat installs.

Key features

  • Passenger side, front right position
  • Black finish
  • Slider and adapter combined in one piece
  • Relocated seat belt attachment, with no drilling

Pairing passenger and driver brackets

Seat brackets are often sold as a matched pair, since both seat sides need to sit at the same height and angle. When a driver side and passenger side bracket are used together, their mounting holes should line up across the vehicle floor so the seats feel even and the belts route correctly. A mismatch can cause one seat to sit higher or lean slightly.

Before tightening, set both seats in their working positions and check that the slider or adapter moves smoothly on each side. Tighten fasteners in a cross pattern so the bracket seats evenly. Recheck the bolts after the first few trail runs, since rough ground can loosen hardware.

  • Confirm both brackets are the same finish
  • Keep the driver and passenger brackets stored together

Questions & Answers

Is the 51248-01 the passenger side bracket?

Yes. It is a passenger side, front right seat slider with adapter in black. It pairs with the 51245-01 driver side bracket for Trailmax and Trailmax II seats on 2003-2006 Wrangler applications.

What fastener does installation use?

Installation uses a T50 torx head, and no cutting or drilling is needed. Plan on a T50 torx tool for both brackets.

Which vehicles does the passenger side bracket cover?

The manufacturer fitment list names 2004-2006 Jeep Wrangler (LJ) Unlimited and Unlimited Rubicon, and 2003-2006 Jeep Wrangler (TJ) in the trims named. Check your year, model and trim before ordering.

What if only one bracket gets damaged?

Replace both brackets together where possible. A single new bracket may not match the old one's height or angle, which can make the seats sit unevenly.
