Overview
The Supersprings SumoSprings Load Leveling Air Bag Springs, part number SSR-203-40-2, are a rear SumoSprings Suspension Rebel Kit. They are variable load rear springs designed to help with load leveling.
The maximum load is 2600 lbs. at 50 percent compression per pair or set. Confirm the application for your vehicle before ordering.
Load leveling on a rear axle
Air springs take part of the load off the rear axle and help keep the vehicle level when it carries weight. The bag’s internal pressure sets how much support it gives, so the system should be inflated within its rated range and checked regularly. A leak or a faulty fitting can cause the rear to sag unevenly.
Air spring kits work best when the rest of the suspension is in good condition. Shocks, bushings and mounting hardware should be inspected at the same time, since worn parts can change how the load is carried. Keep the air lines clear of moving parts and heat sources, and make sure the bags do not rub the frame through full travel.
- Check inflation at regular intervals
- Inspect air lines for chafing
- Look over shocks and mounts during install
- Keep bags clear of the frame at full travel

Vehicle fitment
It is a direct fit rear kit. Make sure the year, model and trim match your vehicle before buying.
Check the year, model and trim against your suspension setup before ordering.
Installation notes
Air springs sit in the coil and take the load off the rear axle, so a professional fit is strongly advised. Stand the vehicle on rated jack stands over level ground.
- Tighten hardware to the correct torque values and look it over after the first few drives.
- Verify that nothing rubs the air springs or the lines through the full travel.
- Keep inflation within the rated range for the kit.
