Overview
The Rugged Ridge Standard Front Bucket Seat in tan, part number 13401.04, is a replacement seat for earlier Jeep restoration projects. It is made of automotive grade vinyl and has a fixed, non-reclining back with an integrated headrest and horizontal stitching, styled to match the original Jeep look.
Fitment covers 1976–1983 Jeep CJ5, 1976–1986 Jeep CJ7, 1981–1985 Jeep Scrambler, 1997–2002 Jeep Wrangler (TJ) and 1987–1995 Jeep Wrangler (YJ) models. The seat reuses the original mounting hardware and bolts from factory seats, and it is sold in tan.

Before you buy
A replacement bucket seat depends on its mounting points lining up with the floor in your vehicle, especially if the floor was cut or repaired during a restoration. Before ordering, measure the factory bracket spacing and compare it with the seat’s hardware. Seat rails on older Jeeps often wear at the mounting surfaces, so inspect them for cracks or flexing before the new seat goes in.
Vinyl upholstery handles everyday use well, but it can crack after long periods in direct sun or cold weather. Wipe it with a mild vinyl cleaner and dry it fully after spills. Look over the stitching along the bolsters and headrest every few months, because a loose seam is far easier to repair early than after it splits.
If the project also includes new carpet or door panels, finish those first so the seat can sit flat and tighten down without fighting the trim.

Installation notes
Because the seat uses the original mounting hardware and bolts, it is designed to bolt into the factory seat locations. 1997 to 2002 TJ Wranglers require seat adapters 13201.11 and 13201.12, so order those adapters along with the seat. Keep the seat fully secured before driving.
