Harness use and safety
A harness-ready seat works best when the belts run in a straight line from the mounting points to the anchor. Route the belts before the seat is fully tightened so you can see where they sit against the shoulder and hip. Belts that cross the bolsters at an angle can wear the upholstery edges over time.
Harness setups also depend on the vehicle’s own anchor points and roll structure, which the seat cannot provide. Check the anchors for rust or movement and confirm that the belts lock and release smoothly. Replace any belt that shows fraying, cuts or stiff latching.
Oversized bolsters hold the body firmly, which can make getting in and out of the seat a little more involved. Plan the entry path before a long event so the seat stays comfortable and the belts stay clear.

Installation notes
The 97–02 TJ Wrangler requires seat adapters 13201.11 (left side) and 13201.12 (right side), which are not included. Make sure the harness belts route through the headrest cut-outs correctly and that the recline mechanism locks before driving.
