Overview
The Rugged Ridge Dual A-Pillar Light Mount, part number 11232.36, is a heavy-duty steel bracket for mounting auxiliary off-road lights to the A-pillar area. Rugged Ridge designed it so lights can be placed in positions that give the most visibility on the trail.
It attaches to the lower windshield mount through the existing factory mounting holes, so no drilling or cutting is needed.
Key features
- Dual mount designed for a variety of auxiliary off-road lights
- Heavy-duty steel construction
- Black finish
- Uses existing factory mounting holes
- Windshield hinge mounting type
Light placement on the A-pillar
A dual mount gives you two positions for auxiliary lights, which helps when you want a wide pattern or separate beams for different trail conditions. Place the heavier light closer to the mount so the load stays balanced and the bracket does not sag. Test the aim with the vehicle parked, then check that the lights clear the windshield, the mirror and any sun visor when they are swung into position.
Choose lights that fit the mounting points and the space available. Plan the wiring before tightening the mount, so the harness can be routed away from the wipers and airbag areas. After the first few trail runs, check the bolts and aim again, since bumps can shift the angle.
- Balance weight between the two positions
- Check clearance for mirror and sun visor
- Plan wiring before final tightening
- Re-aim after the first trail runs
