Description

Overview

The Bushwacker Aluminum Fender Flares are a set of four black flares for the front and rear of the Jeep Wrangler JK. Front coverage is 6 inches and rear coverage is 4.5 inches. The set is designed to increase tire clearance for off-road use.

The flares are made from aluminum with a black powder-coated finish. Bushwacker says they will stand up to off-roading and trail-crawling use. The flares can also be painted to match the Jeep.

The flares fit the 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK in two-door and four-door models. Mounting hardware comes with the set.

Key features

  • Premium aluminum construction
  • Textured black powder-coated finish
  • Front coverage 6 inches; rear coverage 4.5 inches
  • Increases tire clearance
  • Can be painted to match the vehicle
  • Mounting hardware included
  • Limited lifetime warranty

Clearance for larger tires

Fender flares add clearance by moving the coverage edge outward, which helps when tires are wider than the stock setup. Because the JK fender sits close to the tire at full steering lock, measure the gap at the front and rear before final mounting. Aluminum holds its shape well but can dent, so inspect the edges after rock contact.

A flare works best alongside matching suspension and tire choices. A lift or wider wheels change how much of the tire the flare must cover, so measure again after any change. Keep the textured powder coat intact, and touch up exposed metal before corrosion starts at the edges.

  • Measure gap at full steering lock
  • Recheck clearance after a lift or new tires
  • Inspect edges after rock contact
  • Touch up scratched powder coat promptly

Questions & Answers

Do the Bushwacker aluminum flares fit a 2014 Jeep Wrangler JK?

Yes. It fits the 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK, which includes 2014, in two-door and four-door models. Verify your trim before ordering.

How wide is the coverage?

Bushwacker lists 6 inches of front coverage and 4.5 inches of rear coverage for the set of four. Compare those figures with the tire width you plan to run before choosing the set.

Is mounting hardware included?

Yes. Mounting hardware is included with the set of four, and the textured black powder coat finish can be painted over to match the Jeep if you prefer a different look.

How do I touch up a scratched aluminum flare?

Clean the area, lightly scuff the bare spot, and apply a primer suited to aluminum. Finish with paint or a matching coating that bonds to the powder coat. Allow full cure time before exposing the flare to mud or rock.

Do aluminum flares need periodic checks?

Yes. Look at the mounts, edges and fasteners after trail use, and tighten any loose hardware. Check the clearance to the tire again if suspension or tire size has changed.
