Overview
The Bestop Windjammer in Black Diamond, part number 80039-35, is a fabric enclosure for 4-door models that closes off the cabin to keep passengers warm and dry. Bestop designed it to block the back drafts that make open-air driving uncomfortable.
A large clear window provides the visibility drivers need. The material color is matched to the Bestop Bikini Top and Duster, and the windjammer works best with a deck cover.
Key features
- Encloses the cabin to keep occupants warm and dry
- Large clear window for visibility
- Color matched to the Bestop Bikini Top and Duster
- Works best with a deck cover
- Black Diamond color
- Designed for 4-door models
Choosing a deck cover
A deck cover and a windjammer work as a pair, since the cover closes the rear opening and the windjammer seals the cabin. Without a cover, wind can still find gaps at the back and push air across the cargo area, so the enclosure feels less complete on the highway.
When choosing a cover, check that its edges line up with the windjammer seams and that the fit is snug at the corners. Pay attention to how the two pieces meet after the first few drives, since fabric settles and small gaps can open up. Keep the seams clean and free of grit so the closures stay easy to use.
- Check edge alignment before the first drive
- Re-check seam fit after the first few trips
- Brush grit from the seams before closing
