Pads and rotors as a set
A combo kit works best when the pads and rotors match each other. Ceramic pads are usually quieter and produce less dust than semi-metallic pads, but they need a proper bed-in to reach full friction. Drilled and slotted rotors help shed heat and gas, though the pad compound still decides how consistent the pedal feels in traffic.
When a set is replaced, check the caliper slide pins, the hub bearings and the wheel seals before installing. Replacing pads without cleaning the abutment surfaces can cause rattles, so clean and lubricate those contact points as the installer directs. Old fluid in the system should be checked too, since heavy braking heats the lines.

Installation notes
Bearings, races and brake lubricant are not included, so inspect those parts before installing the set. The kit includes abutment clips for the noise suppression hardware. Brake work is safety-critical, so have a qualified technician install the set and bed the new pads correctly.
