Fitting a center panel
A center panel changes how the tailgate looks and how it handles road grime. Diamond plate traps dirt in its raised pattern, so a stiff brush with mild soap keeps the surface looking clean. Look for loose clips, wear where the panel rubs the body and any cracks near the grommet. Wiring near the panel should move freely and never be pinched when the panel is set in place.
