Overview
The Tuff Country Ladder Bars 30995 are rear ladder bars for lifted 1994–2002 Dodge Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 Base trucks. They are built to reduce the wheel hop and axle wrap that can appear after a lift and the fitting of larger wheels and tires, adding traction at the rear axle.
Tuff Country offers this as a direct fit, bolt-on rear ladder bar in black.
Key features
- Ladder bar design for increased traction
- 1.25 inch tubing
- Powdercoated for durability
- Direct fit, bolt-on mounting
- All required mounting hardware included
Setting up after installation
Ladder bars change how the rear axle is located, so the setup should be checked once the bars are installed. Look at the alignment and driveline angles, since a change in axle position can affect vibration and wear. A test drive after installation helps reveal binding or clicking that needs attention.
Heavier loads and larger tires put more stress on rear mounts, so the bars and their mounting points deserve periodic inspection. Check bushings for cracks and the frame mounts for movement, and recheck fasteners after the first few drives. Keep the bars clean and free of debris so rust and corrosion do not start at the welds.
- Check driveline angles after install
- Inspect bushings and frame mounts
- Recheck fasteners after early drives
