Overview
The Smittybilt 55504 is a welded one-piece Defender roof rack in cargo basket form, measuring 5.5 ft. wide and 5 ft. long, with 4 in. sides. It is made from 16-gauge, fully welded, 1 in. round steel tubing.
The rack is universal in application and requires a vehicle-specific mounting kit, which is sold separately. Drilling is required for installation.
Welded light tabs are placed four at the front and two at the rear. The basket also has an integrated floor, and its aerodynamic design is meant to suit contemporary vehicle styling.
