Description

Overview

The Omix-Ada 12303.01 is a one-piece driver side full door weather seal for Jeep CJ and Wrangler YJ doors. It is a gasket that runs all the way around the inner part of the door frame and seals the door to the body and hard top.

It fits the 1976–1983 Jeep CJ5, 1976–1986 Jeep CJ7, 1981–1985 Jeep Scrambler and 1987–1995 Jeep Wrangler (YJ). It is made for full steel doors only.

Key features

  • One-piece driver side seal for full doors
  • Gasket runs all the way around the inner door frame
  • Seals the door to the body and hard top
  • Clips included
  • Full steel doors only

Sealing a steel door

A full steel door seal has to hold against both the frame and the body, so it works as a gasket around the whole door opening. On open-top Jeeps, it also keeps water from running into the cab when the hard top is fitted. Cracking, flattened sections and gaps at the corners are common signs of wear.

Before fitting, clean the door frame and check it for rust or dents that could stop the gasket seating evenly. Work the seal around in one continuous run, starting at a corner, and use the clips to hold it steady. Check the seal along the whole frame once the door is closed to confirm even contact.

  • Inspect the door frame for rust
  • Check that the seal seats evenly after installation

Is the driver side seal one piece and does it include clips?

Yes. It is a one-piece seal for the driver side in the left position, and clips are included. Verify the contents against your installation before starting.
