Retractors and harness wear
A retractable 3-point harness relies on the retractor to keep the belt snug during normal driving. Over time, the retractor can slow down, bind or fail to lock during a sudden stop. Pull the webbing out and let it retract to check that it moves smoothly and locks when pulled quickly.
Inspect the webbing for fraying, cuts, fading from sun exposure and stiff or stained sections, and replace any belt showing these signs. Check the buckle and latch plate for debris, and keep the belt routed clear of seat hinges. Because hardware is included with this belt, keep the bolts tight and re-check them after the first few drives. A belt that has been through a collision should be replaced.

It fits the 1987-1995 Jeep Wrangler (YJ) in the Base, Islander, Laredo, Renegade, Rio Grande, S, SE, Sahara and Sport trims.
Later Wrangler generations and other Jeep models are not on this list. Confirm your vehicle’s year, model and trim before ordering.
