Key features
- Dual friction design
- Up to 90% increase in holding capacity over OEM, per Centerforce
- Intended for high horsepower or high torque engines
- Smooth engagement and light pedal pressure
- 90 day warranty
Upgrading for power
A dual friction disc uses two friction surfaces to increase the clamping load the clutch can hold, which matters for engines producing high horsepower or high torque. Before choosing a clutch for more power, consider the engine’s output, the transmission, and how the vehicle is driven. A stronger clutch can put more load on the drivetrain, so the rest of the setup should be checked as well.
Smooth engagement and light pedal pressure make daily driving easier, but they do not change the need for correct installation. Check the flywheel surface, the pilot bearing and the release bearing during the job, and clean the flywheel to remove oil before fitting the new set. Inspect the clutch again after the first stretch of driving.
- Confirm the clutch suits your engine’s power level
- Clean the flywheel surface before installing
- Check the pilot and release bearings during service
- Keep the drivetrain in good condition with a stronger clutch
