Overview
The Smittybilt XRC M.O.D. Option Mid Width End Plates (part 76826) are the side plates for Smittybilt’s modular bumper system for the Jeep Wrangler JK. The M.O.D., which stands for Multi Optional Design, lets owners build a bumper for their own terrain, and the mid width plates keep the bumper’s clearance when wheeling in harsh conditions.
This product is end plates only. It is not the complete bumper, and it does not include the modular center section, which Smittybilt sells as a separate part, 76825. The plates have a two stage textured matte black finish.

Choosing a bumper setup
A modular bumper is built around how the vehicle will be used. Mid width end plates keep the bumper compact, which helps with approach and departure clearance on tight trails. Before settling on the layout, decide whether the bumper will carry a winch, lights or a recovery point, since each addition changes the weight and the mounting points needed.
Plan the install around the rest of the front end. Check the radiator, grille and any sensors before choosing the mounting positions, and confirm that the bumper does not interfere with the hood or the fenders when the steering turns. Recheck all fasteners after the first few trail runs, since a heavy front end loads the mounts during impacts.

Vehicle fitment
The end plates are made for the JK Wrangler, which the JK chassis code places at 2007 to 2018. They fit 2-door and 4-door models. Confirm your vehicle’s year, model and body style before ordering, and check that the plates match the rest of your bumper build.
Installation notes
The end plates are part of a modular bumper, so plan the whole build before mounting. Winch, light and D-ring mounts are sold separately, so plan those additions when you choose the center section.
