Overview

Running and turn signal lights
Amber is the color most often used for turn signals and side marker lights, so amber LEDs in the mirror help other drivers read the signal. The smoked finish dims the LEDs compared with a clear lens, so check the running, parking and turn signal lights from the front, side and rear once the lenses are installed, especially at night.
LED signals draw much less current than filament bulbs. On some trucks that can change the turn signal flash rate, which is a sign that a load resistor or a flasher designed for LEDs may be needed. Check the signals for correct operation before driving, and recheck after any wiring change.
