Overview
The PIAA H16 G3 LED bulb, part number 26-17416, is a pair of white 6200K LED replacement bulbs with an H16 base. It is a direct-fit replacement for the factory bulb and fits the 2015–2016 Audi Q3 in Premium Plus, Prestige, Quattro Premium Plus and Quattro Prestige trims.
The bulb uses CREE XP-L LED chips on a thinner circuit board. PIAA says these give up to 50% more light output than earlier G3 bulbs, along with a wider viewing angle. The slimmer main column moves the chips closer to where a halogen filament would sit, which the company says lets the bulb fill the factory housing and produce a beam pattern with fewer dead spots. The bulbs run larger than stock, so check clearance under the housing and note that the dust cover may not be usable on some models. PIAA also reports 70% more fan airflow and 40% less fan noise than the previous design, and it backs the bulbs with a 5-year warranty.

Connectors and wiring checks
Plug-in LED bulbs use a connector designed to match the factory harness, but the connector still needs to seat fully. A partly seated plug can cause flicker or a dim beam, and it can also loosen with vibration over time. Before closing the lamp, push the connector until it clicks and check that the wire does not pull on the base.
Some vehicles monitor bulb current and may show a warning when a bulb draws less power than the original. This is a known effect of LED conversions and is not a sign that the bulb is faulty. If a warning appears, check the connectors first, then the bulb’s base and seating.

Installation notes
OE-style connectors let the bulbs plug into the factory harness with no wire splicing. Check clearance around the housing and dust cover before fitting. The bulbs are not FMVSS108 or CMVSS108 compliant, so review your local road-use rules before using them on a vehicle driven on public roads.
