Overview
The Rugged Ridge Heavy-Duty Overrider Bar (part number 11540.62) is a black tubular steel overrider bar for the 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler (JK) and the 2018–2022 Jeep Wrangler (JL), in 2 door and 4 door versions. It is a bolt-on accent for the Rugged Ridge HD Stubby or Full Width front bumper.
The HD Over-Rider is designed to add protection for the radiator and grille without getting in the way of winch access. It has a satin black powder coat finish and concealed mounting hardware for a clean appearance.

Bumper and winch setup
An overrider bar sits at the front of the bumper and carries contact from brush, trees and rocks away from the radiator and grille. Because it is a bolt-on accent, its strength depends on the bumper it attaches to, so keep the bumper mounts sound. Concealed hardware keeps the fasteners out of view and reduces snag points on the bar.
If you run a winch, the overrider should leave the fairlead and rope path clear. Check the bar’s position after the first trail outings, since shifts in the bumper or bar can change winch clearance. Inspect the powder coat for chips and look over the bumper welds before adding load from recovery work.
