Overview
The Rugged Ridge Elite door handle inserts, part number 13311.51, are brushed tread inserts for the 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited four-door, also written JKU. The set has 5 inserts for all doors and the rear tailgate.
Each insert is lightweight cast aluminum with a lustrous brushed finish and a tread-inspired inlay. Rugged Ridge says they are built for a comfort-fitting install with no sharp edges, and they attach with double-sided automotive tape.

Tread inserts on the JKU
Five-piece sets cover the front and rear doors and the tailgate, so it helps to plan installation handle by handle. Clean each one with a mild cleaner, let it dry, and dry-fit the insert to confirm alignment. Lift a corner if the tape starts to bunch, and reposition before pressing it fully down.
Brushed tread finishes resist light marks but collect dust in the grooves of the inlay. A soft brush, mild soap and clean water are enough for routine care. Avoid abrasive pads that can flatten the brushed pattern. Check the edges now and then, especially after a rough trail trip that puts the doors under more handling.
