Description

Overview

The Rugged Ridge door handle inserts, part number 13311.53, are brushed aluminum handle inserts for the 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited four-door. The kit has 5 inserts for all doors and the rear tailgate.

Each insert is lightweight cast aluminum with a black contrast tread pattern, black recesses and a lustrous brushed finish. They attach with double-sided automotive tape, and the edges have no sharp points.

Key features

  • Black contrast tread pattern
  • Lustrous brushed finish
  • Black recesses
  • Lightweight cast aluminum construction
  • Set of 5 for all doors and the rear tailgate
  • Double-sided automotive tape installation

Keeping the inserts bonded

Trim pieces held by tape work loose over time when the bond is stressed by heat, cold, washing and road vibration. On a Wrangler Unlimited the doors are opened often, so the inserts see steady use. A soft cloth and mild soap keep the surface clean without wearing the brushed finish, while harsh abrasives and strong solvents can soften the tape edge.

Check the corners and edges after stretches of hot or cold weather. A corner that lifts early usually means the surface was not fully clean when the insert went on. Pressing the lifted area back down promptly, while the tape still has some tack, often restores the bond. Cast aluminum does not rust, so the main maintenance is keeping the tape bond sound.

  • Wash with mild soap and a soft cloth
  • Inspect tape edges after hot and cold spells
  • Press lifting corners back down promptly
  • Avoid harsh abrasives on the brushed finish

Yes. It fits Unlimited 4-door trims 70th Anniversary, 75th Anniversary, Rubicon, Sahara, Sport, Sport S and X. Confirm fit for your vehicle's year, model and trim before ordering.

Does the 13311.53 fit a 2-door Wrangler JK 70th Anniversary?

How many inserts does the kit hold?

The kit holds 5 inserts, covering all doors and the rear tailgate. The finish is a lustrous brushed look with black recesses and a black contrast tread pattern.

What should I do if an insert starts to lift?

Clean the edge and the handle surface, dry them fully, and press the insert back down firmly. If the tape has lost its grip across the whole piece, remove the insert and fit new automotive double-sided tape. Repeated lifting usually means the surface was not fully clean before fitting.
