Overview
The Rigid Industries 40133 is a black cradle mount for a 20 inch LED light in the lower grille of the Ford F150 SVT Raptor. The 20 inch LED light is a required part that is not included with the mount.
Rigid sells a wide range of installation brackets, including cradle mounts, tube mounts, tab mounts and windshield mounts, so the same lights can be set up in other configurations. This kit is the cradle style for the lower grille.
Key features
- Cradle mount design for a 20 inch LED light
- Black finish
- Designed as a direct fit kit for the lower grille of the Ford F150 SVT Raptor.
- Part of Rigid Industries’ mount range, which includes tube, tab and windshield styles
Mount styles and light choice
Light mounts come in several styles, and the right one depends on where the light needs to sit and how it will be aimed. A cradle mount holds a light in a fixed housing, which suits a lower grille position. Other styles, such as tube or tab mounts, spread the light differently across the front of a vehicle, so compare the mount type to the spot you plan to use.
Choosing the light itself is just as important. Match the light’s housing size and mounting points to the cradle before buying, and confirm the wiring plan. Light bars are heavy compared with small pods, so a bracket that flexes can drift out of aim over time. Check the cradle bolts after rough use.
- Match the light housing to the cradle
- Check the aim after mounting
- Inspect the bracket for flex after rough trails
