Fitting hardtop door handles
Exterior door handles operate a latch through a rod or cable, so a handle that feels stiff often points to a worn bushing, a dry pivot or a bent rod rather than the handle itself. Keyed alike handles mean one key works the door locks, which is useful on a hardtop with several access points. Before installing a new set, look at the handle bezel, gasket and rod ends for wear.
