Overview
The Key Parts replacement rear floor pan is a driver-side panel for the rear section of a vehicle floor. It is made from high gauge steel and coated with an OEM electro-deposit primer (EDP).
The rear floor pan covers rust and collision repair in the rear floor area, with dimensions meant to match factory parts. Match the side and rear position against the panel you are replacing before ordering.
Key features
- Driver-side replacement rear floor pan
- High gauge steel panel
- OEM electro-deposit primer (EDP) finish
- Direct fit at the rear position, per Key Parts
Rear floor repair basics
The rear floor section supports the back seat area and, in many vehicles, the fuel tank mounting, so its condition affects both strength and safety. Water often collects here when drain holes clog, and rust can spread under carpet and insulation before it is visible. Pull back the carpet and check the pan from above and below. Press a screwdriver into suspect metal to test it.
Cut back to sound metal, then fit the new pan and check alignment with the surrounding floor and rails before welding or fastening. Coat the underside with weld-through primer or seam sealer, and clear any drain paths so water leaves the floor. Replace any rusted brackets at the same time, since they are often weakened by the same moisture.
