Hitch and accessory planning
Because this bumper ships without a receiver hitch, D-ring mounts or a tire carrier, plan those parts before the install. Confirm that any hitch, carrier or recovery mount you add uses bolt patterns and mounting points that match the bumper’s structure. Adding weight or a carrier at the rear changes the load on the bumper and the tailgate, so use hardware rated for the job.
Sensor compatibility is one reason to check wiring early. Route any sensor or light harness away from the trailer hitch, exhaust and moving parts, and make sure the harness reaches its connector without strain when the suspension travels.
Powder coat holds up well to normal use, but chips at the edges and around bolt holes can start rust over time. Inspect these spots after rough trail use and touch them up promptly.
