Overview
The Energy Suspension 2.2120R is a red polyurethane leaf spring shackle bushing set that fits the front or rear when used with aftermarket shackles. Shackle bushings sit at the shackle end of the leaf spring and carry the movement of that joint.
Energy Suspension describes greater stability when maneuvering left to right and in turns as the benefit of polyurethane over worn or stock rubber. The set is non-greaseable.

Shackle type and fitment
Shackle bushings sit at the shackle end of the leaf spring, so the choice of shackle changes how the bushing is loaded. Aftermarket shackles often use different pin sizes and bushing bores than stock parts, so the shackle type should be confirmed before any bushing is bought or fitted. Polyurethane bushings resist compression better than rubber and hold their shape under repeated movement, which is why they are often chosen for trail use. They also need correct alignment, because a misaligned shackle can bind and wear the new bushing quickly. Look for cracks in the shackle plates, check the pin for wear, and clean the bore before pressing in new bushings. Keep the bolts snug and re-check them after the first few drives.
