Overview
The Energy Suspension 1.2102R is a red rear leaf spring bushing set made for leaf springs that use aftermarket shackles. Polyurethane bushings replace worn or stock rubber at the rear spring eyes and shackle connections.
The polyurethane bushings add stability and control on turns, during standing starts and braking, and as the axle works over bumps and berms. It is a universal fit part, so match it to your springs and shackles before ordering.

Shackle and bushing pairing
Aftermarket shackles change the geometry of a leaf spring joint, so the bushing has to suit both the spring eye and the shackle design. Bushings and shackles wear together, and a worn shackle pin or bore can make a new bushing feel loose. Polyurethane bushings handle lateral loads well, but they only perform as intended when the shackle sits square and the pivot is in good condition.
When planning a rebuild, inspect the shackle, bolts and spring eyes at the same time as the bushings. Replace parts that show ovalling or heavy wear so the new set is not working against a worn joint.
