Wiring and aiming the lights
Driving lights draw real current, so the wiring matters as much as the mounting. A fused relay keeps that load off the switch and the factory harness. Put the switch where it is easy to reach from the driver’s seat so the lights are used on the trail only when needed. Route the harness away from hot exhaust parts and moving suspension components, and secure it with ties so it cannot rub against the grille or the hood edge.
Aim is the other part to plan for. Set the lights level and centered on a flat surface, then check them again after the first few drives, since brackets can settle. Lights aimed too high can dazzle oncoming drivers, so many owners aim them low for trail use. Clean the lenses now and then, because dirt on the lens cuts light output.

Later Wrangler JL models and older TJ or YJ models are not part of this list. Confirm your vehicle’s year, model and trim before ordering.
