Description

Overview

The Poison Spyder 57-63-100 is a black rear grab handle that mounts to the seat headrest post of the 2007–2016 Jeep Wrangler (JK), including the Unlimited models and the Rubicon, Sahara, Sport, Sport S, 70th and 75th Anniversary trims. It gives passengers a safe grip to help them get into the vehicle, or to hold themselves in place while bouncing down the trail.

The handle is made from high quality nylon webbing, with injection molded handle pieces. It attaches to the headrest post and does not require permanent modification of the Jeep. It is a rear unit and is made in the U.S.A.

Key features

  • Mounts to the headrest post
  • High quality nylon webbing
  • Injection molded handle
  • Safe grip for getting in or holding on over rough trail
  • Black finish
  • Made in the U.S.A.

Choosing a grab handle

A rear grab handle gives passengers something to hold when climbing in or when the vehicle rocks over uneven ground. Handles that mount to the headrest post avoid cutting into the roof or body, which keeps the original structure intact. Before choosing one, think about how the passenger sits and whether the grip sits where a hand can reach it easily.

Nylon webbing flexes under load, which can make a handle more comfortable to grip but means the mounting point should be checked from time to time. Tighten the headrest post clamp after the first few trail runs and inspect the webbing for fraying, cuts or sun damage. Replace the handle if the webbing shows wear or the post no longer holds it firmly.

Questions & Answers

Does the 57-63-100 grab handle fit a Jeep Wrangler JK?

Yes. It is a direct fit for the 2007–2016 Jeep Wrangler (JK), in the trims named above, including the Unlimited versions.

How does the handle attach?

It attaches to the seat headrest post, so it is installed without drilling. It is a rear grab handle for getting in or holding yourself in place on the trail.

Where is the handle made?

It is made in the U.S.A. and uses high quality nylon webbing with injection molded handles. Each order covers one handle. Confirm fit for your vehicle's year, model and trim before ordering, since the handle mounts to the headrest post.

How do you know the grab handle needs replacing?

Replace it when the webbing frays, cracks appear in the injection molded handle, or the clamp no longer holds the headrest post firmly. A loose handle should be secured or removed before anyone grabs it, since a handle that gives way can cause a fall.
