Overview
The PIAA Si-Tech Silicone Wiper Blade 97043 is a 17 Inch (430mm) left-position frame-less flat wiper blade with a silicone infused rubber insert. PIAA presents it as an all season blade that is designed to prevent snow and ice build-up.
The Si-Tech design uses a patented rubber insert that reapplies an active silicone coating to the windshield as it wipes. Frame-less blades in winter
Frame-less blades have no exposed metal frame, so the rubber contacts the glass across its full length. This design suits cold weather because there are fewer metal parts for snow and ice to build up on. Frame-less flat blades also tend to fit curved windshields more evenly.
