Bulb replacement tips
Rear stop, turn signal and tail lamps often use bulbs that run warm, so let the lamp cool before working on it. Remove the lens carefully, and check the socket for corrosion or a loose fit. Clean the contacts with a dry cloth before inserting the new bulb, so the connection stays firm.
Incandescent bulbs keep the same color as they age, but they can dim over time. Replacing both bulbs at once on the same lamp keeps brightness even.
