Overview
The International Harvester CTS-2304 is a factory authorized reprint service manual for the 1971–1975 IH Scout II, covering 4×4 and 4×2 models.

Working through two volumes
A two volume set is easier to use when each volume has a clear role. Keep the volume that covers the system you are working on open at the bench, and use the index to jump between engine, drivetrain and electrical sections. Scout II trucks have many shared systems, so a repair in one area may depend on a step in another. Read the steps for both before disconnecting anything. Keep a photo log of your work, since the sequence matters when you reassemble parts that were removed together.
