The Hi-Lift Jack NJC is a neoprene jack cover made by Hi-Lift Jack for Hi-Lift jacks. It protects the main lifting mechanism, also called the running gear, from mud and dirt when the jack is kept on the outside of a vehicle.

Keeping a jack clean
A Hi-Lift jack works through a running gear that depends on clean, lubricated parts. Mud and grit that work into the lifting mechanism can slow the jack or keep it from operating when you need it most. A cover helps keep the working parts away from the worst of the mess, but it does not replace routine cleaning after a trip through deep mud or sand.
After a trip, wipe the jack down, remove loose dirt from the lift bar and handle, and check that the release moves freely. Lubricate the moving parts with a light grease or oil suited to outdoor use, and wipe off the excess so it does not collect more dirt. Let the cover dry before fitting it back, because damp material can trap moisture against the metal. Inspect pins and the base for bends or cracks.
