Hybrid hatch and seasonal use
The hybrid design adds a rigid rear glass hatch to a soft top, so it behaves a little differently from a fully soft setup. The hatch seals against the frame, and that seal is the first thing to inspect if you notice water near the rear seats. Keep the hatch gasket clean and check it for flattening or cracks.
Hatch latches and hinges carry repeated loads every time the hatch opens. Light lubrication and a periodic check of fasteners keep the hatch aligned, and a loose hinge can change how the glass seats against the top. Think about rear rack or spare tire loads too, since extra weight can change how the hatch moves.
