Choosing a soft top setup
A soft top takes over the roof and side coverage of a Wrangler, so the choice affects weather protection, road noise and how quickly the Jeep can be opened up. A complete top sets the roof, windows and frame hardware together, which helps the panels stay aligned once the top is tensioned. Before buying, compare the top with the vehicle’s existing windshield frame and tub, and settle the door plan first.
Soft tops age with use. Fabric can stretch, windows can cloud, and zippers and snaps wear at the stress points.
