Overview
The Bestop Replace-a-Top with Tinted Windows in Matte Black Twill, part number 79836-17, is a soft top kit for the 2007–2009 Jeep Wrangler (JK) Rubicon, Sahara and X. It uses a triple-layer Black Twill fabric in place of the standard Jeep vinyl, and it includes tinted vinyl side and rear windows. The kit includes no hardware and is designed to be used with factory hardware.
Bestop says the twill is the same type of fabric used on some expensive sports cars and European luxury cars. The company describes it as its heaviest fabric to date, which it says makes the top quieter and helps limit heat transfer. Three layers make up the fabric: twill on the outside, a rubber waterproofing layer and a finished twill inside. The 135 gauge polyester thread and finished seams are described as built for lifelong durability, and the 40-mil windows are described as helping keep the interior cooler in warm weather.

The manufacturer fitment list covers 2007–2009 Jeep Wrangler (JK) in the Rubicon, Sahara and X trims. The 2010–2018 JK years are not covered by this entry, and neither are the 1997–2006 TJ or 2004–2006 LJ generations. Check the trim name against your vehicle before ordering.

Installation notes
