Choosing a roof setup
A modular soft top gives the driver a few roof setups in one top, so the choice depends on weather, trail and passenger needs. Full coverage keeps out rain and dust for highway driving, while the Sunrider open and bikini styles help airflow on warm days and in dry conditions. Each setup changes wind noise and how the roof sits, so test the setup on the road before a long trip.
Soft tops age with sun and flexing, so check the seams, zippers and frame joints for wear each season. Keep the fabric dry and clean before folding, and check that the panels and frame sit square before driving. Rattles and wind noise often point to a loose frame bolt or a panel that is not fully seated.
